SSC result published, GPA-5 76749, Pass rate: 82.31

The results of Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations have been published, with the overall pass rate up around 2 percent from the last year.
The education minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her office on Thursday morning.
The prime minister's press secretary Abul Kalam Azad told reporters the aggregate pass rate of the 10 education boards is 82.31 percent, which was 79.98 percent.
The education minister will officially announce the results at a media conference at 1:30pm.

The pass rate is 84.63 in Dhaka broad,78.27 in Chittagong, ,85.85 in Comilla, 77.84 in Dinajpur, 84.04 in Jessore, 78.30 in Barisal, 80.32 in Rajshahi, 81.23 in Sylhet, 83.23 in Madrasa Education Board and 81.37 in Technical Education Board.
On the other hand, 9, 86, 650 students out of 8, 10, 666 under eight general education boards passed the exams.
As many as 13,15,002 examinees -- 6,78,293 male and 6,36,709 female students -- appeared in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations.
In 2010, the average pass percentage of 10 education boards was 79.98 percent and 82,961 students obtained the GPA-5.
